Job Context:
∎ The Environment and Social Development Organization (ESDO) is an action research, an environmental organization working towards a just and toxic-free, zero-waste world. ESDO aims to power a transition away from our current linear and extractive economy and toward a just equitable sustainable community that supports people`s right to a safe and sustainable environment. This entails building support for vulnerable populations in rural communities, particularly for distressed and ignored elderly women, widows, poor men, and children who need special care. Under this project, a daycare center will provide all necessary support, food, health, wellness, etc.
∎ ESDO Project team is looking for a Project Assistant to support ESDO work, assist and manage the daycare activities, in priority community spaces, issue related questions and convey them to a variety of audiences, and handle and coordinate related day to day issues. This person is comfortable with multicultural environments, dedicated to social and environmental justice, as well as self-directed and motivated.
∎ ESDO complies with all applicable laws governing non-discrimination in employment.
∎ Project Assistant is an entry-level position focused on venerable community wellness and the environment and public health issues.
∎ The Project Assistant will work closely with the Project In-charge as well as the zero-waste team.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of Daycare center activities
∎ Community mobilization and awareness activities
∎ Daycare center management and outreach
∎ Conduct and implement zero-waste activities
∎ Conduct awareness and wellness for the beneficiaries
∎ Conduct and implement organic farming
∎ Report writing, documentation, and presentation
∎ Event management
∎ Coordinate learning and action review to ensure continuous improvement, with relevant programs and departments.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Hard-working, dedicated to work, and caring attitude
Salary:
∎ Tk. 22000 - 24000 (Monthly)
∎ First six month Tk. 22,000/= after six month Tk.24,000/=
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ T/A, Mobile bill, Medical allowance
∎ Lunch Facilities: Partially Subsidize
∎ Salary Review: Half Yearly
