Context:
The BRAC Skills Development Programme (SDP), launched in 2015, focuses on providing marginalized adolescents and youth aged 14-35 with alternative learning pathways through skills training and employment opportunities. The programme has a data-driven approach, emphasizing community support and linking youth with local markets. Noteworthy impacts have been observed, particularly for girls and women, increasing their income and labor market participation.

Purpose of this position ensures smooth implementation of BRAC’s Skills Development Programme by selecting participants, managing training, facilitating job placements, and promoting inclusion. The role bridges learners, trainers, and employers to ensure quality training and employment while upholding safeguarding standards.
Major Responsibilities
Conduct survey for learners, Master Crafts Persons (MCPs), Technical Trainers (TTs), peer leaders, and identify programme participants in compliance with the applicable criteria.
Organize MCP and TT orientations, peer leader orientations, MCP-TT linkage meetings, parents’ meetings, and bazaar committee meetings.
Monitor technical training and soft skills classes, learners’ progress and workplace standards.
Identify challenges of the learners and provide solutions.
Ensure job placement for learners and build a network with potential employers.
Prepare bill vouchers, budgets, and maintain documents.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
