Job Purpose
The Programme Organizer – Employment Support (Retail Sales) will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating job placement support for youth interested in or trained for retail sales roles. The position involves building employer networks, preparing job seekers for employment, organizing job matching events, and ensuring smooth onboarding and post-placement support.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, survey, and build partnerships with retail businesses to create employment opportunities by understanding local market demands and employer requirements.
Match qualified job seekers with suitable positions by assessing skills, conducting mock interviews, soft skills training, and aligning with employer expectations.
Facilitate apprenticeship-based training placements by coordinating with retail employers and ensuring learners complete 8-hour daily attendance as per training requirements.
Conduct regular follow-ups and home visits for trainees to reduce dropouts and support learners in completing their training successfully.
Ensure retention and sustainability of graduates in employment for at least six months by providing post-placement support and maintaining contact with both employers and employees.
Organize job fairs, on-site interviews, and recruitment drives by coordinating logistics, mobilizing participants, and engaging retail employers.
Maintain and update employer databases, placement records, and beneficiary progress reports to track outcomes and support reporting requirements.
Collaborate with the skills training and career counseling teams to ensure job readiness through joint planning and support interventions.
Engage with local stakeholders and community actors to strengthen the employment ecosystem and promote inclusive and sustainable job opportunities.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
● Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
● Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
● Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Educational Qualifications:
Graduation in any discipline from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in youth engagement, event coordination, or education/career development programs (internships or voluntary experiences will be considered).
