Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any discipline from any recognised university. Candidates having major in Sociology/ Anthropology/ Development Studies/ Political Science/ Economics/ Social Welfare/ Agriculture Science/ Marketing will be given preference. Any professional degree relating to development sector is preferable.

∎ At least 7 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE:
∎ The primary role played by the incumbent is to develop concept notes, project proposals, budget for funding opportunities individually and jointly in a team and assist in formulating programme strategies by incorporating the knowledge from on-going programme activities within IDP and in other programmes.
∎ He/she would build up the Knowledge Management Unit of IDP and contribute in programme design, review and documentation of lessons learned for improved programme quality.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Respond to identified fund raising opportunities by developing project concept notes, technical and financial proposals, etc. as per requirement of the funding organisations and ensuring submission within due time.
∎ Take initiatives for developing strategic plan, theory of change, and log frame for IDP for the next five years.
∎ Lead the Knowledge Management unit for facilitating sound knowledge management practices in IDP and provide technical support to different components for improving programme/ project implementation.
∎ Take initiatives to capture and document programme outcomes, lessons learned and good practices of all IDP components through study/ research/ field visit and disseminate the findings internally and externally.
∎ Prepare progress reports, project completion reports etc. for different projects and components of IDP as per the reporting schedules.
∎ Manage new initiatives and pilot projects, and ensure their successful implementation for future scale up.
∎ Support M&E team, external research consultants to provide insights with new trends and prepare knowledge from the findings.
∎ Support advocacy focal to initiate Hard to Reach and Indigenous issues with Government and partners.
∎ Archiving knowledge, learning and documents for future references. Team work, interpersonal communication and regular field visit to observe ongoing programme activities and provide feedback to the corresponding programme personnel.
∎ Carry out additional duties to support the programme activities for smoothly operation, e.g., participation in workshops and meetings, work with core team and facilitate the training session .

Additional Requirements:
∎ Competences in development sector like project proposal and budget preparation and concept paper writing, facilitation on research methods training.
∎ Competence on knowledge management in theory and practice
∎ Computer knowledge and proficiency on MS Word (Windows), Excel, Access and data analysis packages, e.g., SPSS, and familiar with PowerPoint.
∎ Knowledge on development theories in general and practiced by NGOs and other development agencies especially on holistic development in hard to reach areas
∎ Technical and discretionary skills of budget preparation
∎ Familiarity with various bilateral and multilateral donors in terms of their thematic priorities, proposal, budget format etc.
∎ Sound Knowledge and skills on the Participatory program designing, process monitoring, planning, monitoring and evaluation and result based LFA development.
∎ Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation, communication, presentation and report writing skills.
∎ Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building and change management skills
