Education: - Master of Social Science (MSS) in Development Studies
- Master of Social Science (MSS) in Social Work
- Master of Social Science (MSS) in Sociology
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Anthropology
- Master of Development Studies, Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology or any other subject under Social Science with minimum 2-4 years of experience in NGOs/ INGOs.

- At least 2 years relevant experience working for NGOs/ INGOs. Prior experience working in child sponsorship is desirable.
- 70% field visit required for the position holder.
- Experience working in multicultural and rural settings.
- Fluency in Bengali and English.
- Proficiency in the local dialect of Sylhet is a must.
- Knowledge of integrated development approaches, particularly in areas like education, healthcare, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), emergency and livelihood support.
- Must have motorcycle riding skills and hold a valid BRTA-approved driving license.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of data collection tools and reporting methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Responsibilities & Context: Type of appointment: Contractual. The contract is renewable based on the employee performance and availability of the fund.

Position Overview:
The Programme Associate at Muslim Hands Bangladesh will support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of various humanitarian and development projects under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator. The role involves coordinating with field teams, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports and ensuring that projects are aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements. The Programme Associate will also assist in budget management, proposal development and stakeholder communication, while ensuring compliance with policies and standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Design & Implementation:
- Assist in the designing, planning and execution of development projects, ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
- Collaborate with local communities, field teams and partners to implement project activities.
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment with programme goals and donor requirements.
- Support the Sponsorship programme in increasing the number of orphan children into the programme and assist with regular programme-related tasks.
- Assist the Programme Coordinator in identifying new programme opportunities.
- Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator, conduct feasibility studies for new interventions and liaise with the beneficiaries for programme implementation.
- Coordinate the implementation of programmes that specifically address the needs of vulnerable children, including orphans.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent Muslim Hands in community meetings, local networks and forums related to integrated development.
- Required to travel to different district as per requirement and conduct regular home visit of orphan students and dialogue with local authorities.
- Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather feedback and enhance programme effectiveness.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops and events related to programme activities.
- Engage with sponsorees and their families for home visit and school visit under Sponsorship programme.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate files, records of project activities, including financial and administrative documentation.
- Collect, compile and analyze data related to project indicators and outcomes.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the Programme Coordinator and donors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Contribute to case studies, success stories, best practices and impact reports to highlight programme achievements.
- Prepare concept note, progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Programme Coordinator in annual reports, narrative reports, budget, TOR etc.
- Manage project databases and ensure data integrity.
- Collect and update orphan related data into Muslim Hands Sponsorship application.
- Prepare and generate visit reports required by the authority and according to programme needs.
Programme Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating project activities against the project’s logical framework and performance indicators.
- Support field visits to assess the impact of the projects and gather feedback from beneficiaries.
- Ensure that lessons learned are captured and integrated into future project planning and implementation.
Capacity Building:
- Support capacity-building initiatives for field staff and community members to improve project implementation and sustainability.
- Participate in training workshops and knowledge-sharing events within the organization.
- Support the development of communication materials (e.g. SBCC, IEC materials) and strategies to promote programme objectives.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Programme Coordinator, including budget tracking, procurement processes and logistical coordination.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all project activities.
- Coordinate support services for orphan students, to ensure the essentials necessary for their education and well-being.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
