Job Responsibilities:
∎ Voluntary Association for Rural Development (VARD) is a national-non government organization established in 20 January 1988. VARD has been implementing “Promoting Sustainable Agriculture Practices to Strengthen Food Security of the poor and Marginalized Through Accessing Rights (PSAP-SFS-PMTAR)”” Project since January 2012 funded by ActionAid Bangladesh under LRP-43 in Biswambarpur Upazila under Sunamgonj district. This position is based at Biswambarpur Upazila, under Sunamgonj district.
∎ Job description:
∎ Follow up Reflection Action Circle (RAC)and provide capacity building support to implement community action plan (CAP) of Reflection Action Circle (RAC).
∎ Support RAC to prepare business plan, promote Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture at community level.
∎ Organize and conduct community meeting/Training/workshop.
∎ Communicate and coordination with local governments and local service providing departments.
∎ Prepare monthly report on reflect Circle activities
∎ Practice Reflection Action Process (R-A process) at R-A group to identify local level issues, priorities the issues and support R-A groups to prepare CAP.
∎ Promote Human rights-based approach (HRBA).
∎ Organize Sponsorship related event, Program, Collaborate with Sponsorship office to collect CM, Photo Update, CH etc.
∎ Regular visit Shishi Bikas Kendra (SBK).
∎ Work with RAC group to promote Child Rights, Women Rights and reduce VAW.
∎ Maintain close liaison with SMC and CSOs
∎ Organize landless people to ensure their rights on land.
∎ Prepare Case study and documentation of best practices
∎ Work under the close collaboration with Project Manager.
∎ The above contains the main outline of duties. Perform other duties related to the project assigned by Project Manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least five years working experience on child education and right based program especially in similar job in any reputed NGO.
∎ Good knowledge on social mobilization.
∎ Child friendly attitude
∎ Willingness and ready to travel to projects areas frequently
∎ Excellent computer skill on MS words, Excel and power point.
∎ Have valid motorcycle driving license.
∎ Able to work under pressure Able provide additional time if needed.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 21344 (Monthly)
∎ Other benefits will provide as per project’s provision and organizational policy.
