Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum B.Sc and M.Sc in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/Environmental Economics/ MDS/MBA or related discipline from a reputed local or foreign university.

Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) is looking for a program manager to drive its ongoing projects and events in the area of sustainability to make the apparel industry more sustainable in terms of social environmental standard and scale up circularity across the sector.
∎ We are looking for a self-driven individual who will be working closely with the CEO of BAE having skill of project management, reporting, budgeting, periodic reporting, communication, policy advocacy and strong knowledge base on the concurrent issues of the global fashion industry.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for managing ongoing related projects of BAE, prepare materials, expenditure and timing estimates and monitor operations and performance of the projects.
∎ Prepare reports and communicate on project updates and achievements to appropriate authorities
∎ Prepare action plan to achieve desired level of project achievement and monitor performance of the project based on milestones and KPI
∎ Build repo with the industry stakeholders including but not limited to garment factories, trade associations, chambers, embassies, government agencies, development partners, national and international media etc.
∎ Coordinate with relevant stakeholders (Government, brands, development partners, RMG and Textile factories, business associations and donor agencies)
∎ Prepare case studies, presentation, e-brief on factories, present and publish these in different communication platform (National and International)
∎ Organize events like workshops, seminars and others.
∎ Media watch and writing small briefing notes on concurrent sustainability issues.
∎ Work closely with the CEO of BAE and coordinate with other functional areas of BAE including but not limited to Sustainable Apparel Forum, Bangladesh Denim Expo, Fashionology summit and varied events to boast the ongoing branding activities of BAE for the apparel industry of Bangladesh.

Additional Requirements:
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ Garments, Garments Textile, Fashion industry, NGOs etc.
∎ Strong analytical ability and report writing skill with very good command both in English and Bengali.
∎ Ability to think strategically and innovative.
∎ Through understanding of the national and international policy issues
∎ Strong presentation skill, and able to develop case studies and presentations
∎ Knowledge on national and international environmental rules, regulations, convention and treaties.
∎ Knowledge on national and international environmental audit standards
∎ Knowledge on contemporary global and national environmental issues (Climate change, circular economy, waste management etc.)
∎ A thorough understanding about national and international green finance avenues and due diligences.
∎ Understanding of environmental reporting systems and structures based on GRI, SDG, CDP, SBti etc
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Basic project management skills
∎ Able to work with less/minimum supervision and a team player
