Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Nari Maitree (NM), a well-established women-led NGO with 42 years of experience in Bangladesh, is implementing the "Together We Lead" project in partnership with UN Women. This project supports positive gender norms among forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (Rohingya) and host communities in Cox's Bazar, focusing on leadership and agency for women and girls and engagement with men and boys. We invite qualified and committed candidates to join our Cox’s Bazar team and contribute to this important initiative, drawing on Nari Maitree’s extensive experience in development and humanitarian programming.
∎ The Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the "Together We Lead" project, ensuring effective alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
∎ Reports to: Executive Director
∎ Duty Station: Cox’s Bazar (Ukhiya), with occasional travel to Teknaf and host communities as required.
∎ Provide overall direction for the "Together We Lead" project, ensuring alignment with project's objectives and Nari Maitree's mission.
∎ Develop and manage detailed work plans and resources with the project team, ensuring timely and quality implementation.
∎ Ensure integration of a gender-transformative approach across all project components.
∎ Monitor progress, track indicators and targets, and resolve challenges as needed.
∎ Serve as primary point of contact for project-related matters with donors and partners.
∎ Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with ISCG sectors, camp management, community leaders, government agencies, and relevant humanitarian actors.
∎ Represent Nari Maitree in coordination meetings, working groups, and forums at the camp, Upazila, and district levels.
∎ Facilitate communication, information sharing, and advocacy for gender equality and women’s empowerment across all stakeholder forums and external engagements.
∎ Supervise the project team, including the Gender Officer, EMAP Supervisors, Capacity Development Officer, Finance and Admin Officer, and Project Officer.
∎ Conduct regular team meetings to ensure coordination and problem-solving.
∎ Identify capacity-building needs and facilitate relevant training and development opportunities for project staff.
∎ Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
∎ Foster a positive work culture that prioritizes staff wellbeing and ethical conduct.
∎ Oversee project budget and expenditure, ensuring efficient management of financial resources and compliance to organizational and donor guidelines.
∎ Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting; review and approve financial documentation in line with organizational procedures.
