∎ We are currently hiring for the position of Product Developer - Footwear (Sports Shoes) at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. Join our family and build an inspired career you`re proud of.
∎ The Product Developer holds the accountability for working closely with our customers, partner factories and suppliers to develop our footwear range. The incumbent will be responsible for driving product development focusing on fit, component development, quality, cost, performance/durability, and sourcing.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Independently execute footwear product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new materials, and develop customer specific collections by following required durability, quality, and testing.
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day product development activities and approvals
∎ Continuously update the materials library including technical data and price idea for easy reference
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the correct samples within time and quality
∎ Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities
∎ Ensure samples follow up with factories and related procedures
∎ Follow-up TNA on regular basis to ensure on-time delivery with right quality and quantity
∎ Visit factories regularly to get market intelligence
∎ Coordinate all phases of development utilizing the available resources
∎ Convey design intent while simultaneously developing upper patterns for maximum material yield, manufacturability, cost, fit and comfort.
∎ Develop the footwear product, including fitting and construction, according to quality standards
∎ Ensure that the footwear offer/range continues to drive the brand forward every season and delivers quality and design?integrity
∎ Conduct research for the footwear department, evaluate and explore our customers' needs working with our customer types, trends, insights, and tendencies
∎ Maintain the critical path, by preparing meetings and team in the required way
∎ Identify areas for improvement and develop/adapt new ways of working
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines
∎ At least 5 years' footwear product development experience preferably in a reputed buying office in Sports Shoes category
∎ Must have sound understanding of development, sourcing, costing, fits, materials as well as technical knowledge on footwear (synthetic) and production processes
