Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics
∎ Certification as a Chartered Accountant/ CA Intermediate/ Associates of Cost and
∎ Management Accountants (ACMA)
∎ Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
∎ Diploma on Stock Analysis and Portfolio Management from Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) and any other renowned institutions

Job Context:
∎ HF Asset Management Limited (HFAML) an Asset Management Company (AMC) operating in the Mutual Fund Sector in Bangladesh is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Portfolio Manager
∎ Duty station - Head Office of the Company
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the smooth and profitable operation of the Funds and the relevant compliance issues in addition to ensure a market-beating return for the portfolio. Interested candidates need to be proficient in below noted operational areas -
∎ Stock analysis and valuation through fundamental and technical analysis of the companies listed in Stock Exchanges and produce useful research data and reports on continuous basis;
∎ Review stock market trends on daily basis and making suggestions/recommendations about indications of trends to client portfolios, suggesting changes or adjustments accordingly for
∎ determining the best investment strategies and opportunities;
∎ Provide recommendation for buying/selling of securities on the basis of findings of analysis and market performance;
∎ Taking accountable investment and exit decisions for the funds by investigating companies
∎ or assets, attending industry events and employing risk management techniques to assess investments;
∎ Deliver sound investment advice and strategy based on stock market condition;
∎ Ensure that investments are made in accordance with the strategy and related asset allocation limits;
∎ Combine investments in such a way that the risks on individual investments offset one another to the maximum degree, thus minimizing risks on the overall portfolio;
∎ Monitor investment performance for finding newer investment propositions and to ensure that returns are within acceptable limits;
∎ Develop and guide the research team of HFAML on priority basis;
∎ Maintain updated knowledge of important developments in the fund industry, markets and the broader economy;
∎ Ensuring to operate the funds in accordance with Regulations outlined by authorities, such as the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission;
∎ Preparing IPO Valuation, bidding summary and participate in bidding process with the approval of the authority;
∎ Framing financial models and projection;
∎ Report at regular intervals on investment performance in comparison to relevant benchmarks to the relevant authority;
∎ Report on areas of risk within the investment strategy.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years' experience
∎ Experience in portfolio management of Hedge fund/ Pension Fund/ Mutual Funds including Shariah Compliant Funds will be given preferences.
∎ Knowledge of Portfolio Management;
∎ Knowledge of stock analysis, modeling and projection;
∎ Knowledge of securities market, insurance sector, and mutual fund sector;
∎ Knowledge of BSEC Mutual Fund Rules, 2001 and other relevant Rules.
∎ Ability to make timely decisions under pressure;
∎ Ability to make sound decisions even when there is incomplete information;
∎ Ability to work well within a team;
∎ The ability to prioritize workload;
∎ Attention to details;
∎ Demonstrates logic and analytical ability in solving problems.
