Experience:

• MBBS from a recognized medical college.

• Postgraduate qualification in Pathology (FCPS / MD / MPhil in Pathology or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

• Valid BMDC registration is mandatory.

• At least 5 years

• Age At least 30 years

• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and equipment management.

Job Context

Sara Hospital & Diagnostic, a well-equipped and rapidly growing healthcare facility under JSK Group, is seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant – Pathologist to lead and manage its pathology and laboratory services.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising diagnostic testing, ensuring laboratory accuracy, and providing expert interpretation of results to support high-quality clinical decisions.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all pathology laboratory operations, including biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, histopathology, and cytology.

• Review, analyze, and validate laboratory test results and issue final reports.

• Maintain quality assurance and ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory tests.

• Supervise laboratory technologists and provide necessary technical guidance.

• Ensure all procedures comply with BMDC guidelines, hospital protocols, and national laboratory standards.

• Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for laboratory tests and quality control.

• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to correlate laboratory results with clinical findings.

• Monitor equipment performance and ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper usage.

• Participate in procurement decisions for laboratory reagents, equipment, and consumables.

• Conduct training and continuous development programs for laboratory staff.

• Ensure proper documentation, sample management, and confidentiality of patient data.

• As per company policy.
