Job Responsibilities:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications from qualified persons for the following position under Justice and Prison Reform for Promoting Human Rights and Preventing Corruption in Bangladesh (JPR)- A joint project of the Ministry of Home Affairs and GIZ Bangladesh. The major job responsibilities of Paralegals are as follows:
∎ Provide legal aid to the justice seekers;
∎ To work with the criminal justice system agencies;
∎ Compile data and prepare reports for the Project, criminal justice system and other stakeholders;
∎ Meet as required with the Judiciary, the District Legal Aid Committee, Police Services, Prison authority, Department of Health, Department of Women Affairs, Department of Social services and Bar representatives;
∎ Carryout other activities as and when required by the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good verbal and written communication skill in Bangla;
∎ Ability to understand and communicate with the rural community people;
∎ Ability to work independently, under pressure and deliver on time;
∎ Proven ability to work as a team member;
∎ Proven commitment to gender equality and other human rights issues;
∎ Motorcycle driving skill with knowledge on safety measures and valid licence;
∎ Involvement with cultural activities.
Salary: Tk. 15062 (Monthly)
