Additional Requirements:
- Age 30 to 45 years
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Optometry from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical or community eye care setting.
- Experience working with humanitarian or NGO health projects preferred.
- Ability to communicate in Rohingya/Chittagonian and Bengali is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and patient-handling skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Responsible to: Project Manager
Job Purpose:
To perform vision screening, refraction, and assist in the diagnosis and pre/post-operative management of cataract and other eye conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct eye examinations and visual acuity tests for patients.
- Assist in cataract screening, pre-surgery evaluation, and post-surgery follow-up.
- Record examination findings and maintain patient data accurately.
- Provide patient counseling on eye care, hygiene, and follow-up procedures.
- Assist the ophthalmologist during eye camps and surgical procedures.
- Support community outreach and awareness sessions.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager, Doctor, or senior management team as required.
