Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary :

The Officer – Store is responsible for efficiently managing and maintaining the hospital's inventory of medical equipment, consumables, and essential supplies. The role plays a vital part in supporting uninterrupted clinical operations by coordinating with relevant departments, verifying deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining compliance with hospital inventory control systems and regulatory standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:-

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the hospital store, ensuring accuracy in inventory tracking and stock levels.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to identify material needs and coordinate timely procurement.

  • Conduct daily checks on stock availability, especially for high-turnover items.

  • Receive materials and verify delivery against challans, invoices, and work orders.

  • Process Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and assist in preparing bills for goods received.

  • Maintain and update all store-related documents including stock registers, stock cards, ledgers, and transaction logs.

  • Regularly input data into inventory systems and ensure up-to-date and accurate records.

  • Identify, report, and resolve discrepancies in stock movement or documentation.

  • Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.

  • Ensure proper implementation of hospital inventory management protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Coordinate effectively with fellow store staff and other departments for smooth operations.

  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to inventory and procurement.

  • Carry out any additional responsibilities or tasks assigned by management
