Job Summary:
Officer, Marketing & development (Training) will be responsible for identifying and securing government & NGO training tenders, building relationships with key public sector stakeholders, and driving sales of training programs to government institutions. This role requires expertise in tender submission, business development, proposal development, and market analysis, while ensuring compliance with government procurement laws. The manager will collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless execution of awarded training programs. A strong focus on maintaining accurate documentation is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Tender Identification & Submission for Government Training:
Research and identify relevant government training tenders from various government portals and platforms.
Prepare and submit tender applications in line with the specified requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government procurement rules.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather required documents, certificates, and other prerequisites for tender submissions.
2. Business Development & Relationship Building with Training
Authorities:
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government departments and public sector organizations.
Actively network to understand upcoming government training needs and market trends.
Organize and participate in meetings with government officials to pitch training services.
3. Proposal Development for Govt. & NGOs:
Collaborate with the internal training, technical, and finance teams to develop customized proposals for government tenders.
Ensure proposals are aligned with the objectives, specifications, and budgetary guidelines of government organizations.
4. Target Achievement:
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for training projects and maintain government contracts.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with government agencies & NGOs to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
5. Coordination & Liaison:
Coordinate with training departments to ensure smooth execution of training programs once the tender is awarded.
Liaise with government departments to ensure proper follow-up on submitted tenders and handle post-award formalities.
6. Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain updated records of all tender submissions, follow-ups, and feedback.
Ensure compliance with government procurement laws, rules, and procedures.
Handle invoicing and ensure timely payments from government departments post-training delivery.
