Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Carryout and ensure the smooth handover of raw material into the SBUs of AkijBashir Group
∎ Negotiate with suppliers for best quality, best price and best service
∎ Gather Indents, quotations, collate to alternative sources, prepare comparative statement of all raw materials
∎ Perform weekly shipment planning through reviewing material consumption statement
∎ Forecast and supplying monthly demand of raw material quantities
∎ Collect freight quotation from Forwarder for Sea, Air and by roadArrange couriers such as DHL, FedEx to send the sample.
∎ Check, Process and submit the customs duty payments, shipping and port charges.
∎ Release the consignment from port yard.
∎ Report to the management on Purchase Order, Material updates, Shipment status, and contingencies.
∎ Provide support in processing the bills of any SBU
∎ Attend and respond customer enquiries related to your area of work
∎ Assist your superiors to carry out their responsibilities as & when instructed
∎ Coordinate with your fellow peers and other department to work effectively
∎ With increasing business operations, AkijBashir Group have an opportunity for an experienced Import Operations Officer to join our ‘Commercial-Import’ team at our Dhaka Corporate Office on a full-time basis -
∎ Carryout and ensure the smooth handover of raw material into the SBUs of AkijBashir Group
