Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities – Central Store

  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, handling, and distribution of Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and Finished Products (FP) in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Verify all incoming materials against purchase orders, challans, and supporting documents; record details in the Material Receiving Record (MRR) and relevant registers.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns, ensuring real-time stock accuracy.

  • Ensure proper segregation, identification, and status labeling (Quarantine, Approved, Rejected, Returned) of all materials in accordance with GMP requirements.

  • Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) systems to control stock rotation and minimize expiry-related losses.

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Production, Quality Control (QC), and Commercial Departments regarding material availability and any discrepancies.

  • Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile differences with system records; investigate and report variances.

  • Prepare and submit monthly consumption reports (RM & PM), finished goods dispatch reports, and daily stock updates.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Storage Practices (GSP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

  • Monitor and record warehouse temperature and humidity, ensuring appropriate storage conditions are maintained at all times.

  • Check expiry and retest dates of materials in coordination with QC; initiate sampling and retesting requests as required.

  • Develop, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to warehouse and inventory management.

  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to support management decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

  • Participate in DGDA inspections, internal audits, and external audits; ensure all documentation and practices meet regulatory standards.

  • Supervise, guide, and train warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with GMP, safety policies, and operational procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in line with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration (where applicable) of warehouse equipment and report any issues promptly.
