Responsibilities & Context:

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily financial records, including vouchers, invoices, receipts, and ledgers.

  • Prepare and post journal entries, payment and receipt vouchers in the accounting system.

  • Manage petty cash and reconcile daily cash transactions.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing with proper documentation.

  • Assist in the preparation of cost sheets, especially related to agricultural inputs and outputs.

  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies for financial audits and compliance checks.

  • Maintain organized filing of financial records for traceability and internal use.

Inventory Management Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record movement of raw materials (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, feed), packing materials, and finished agro products.

  • Update stock registers regularly and ensure timely data entry into the ERP/inventory management system.

  • Perform periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with system data.

  • Track stock usage trends to identify wastage, spoilage, or pilferage.

  • Maintain accurate records of stock transfers between production units, storage facilities, and distribution points.

  • Coordinate with production and store teams to ensure proper stock handling, FIFO/LIFO practices, and safe storage conditions.
