Job Context:
∎ Nutrition Officer will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, under the guidance of the Project Manager. The Nutrition Officer will be based in Upazilla or sub district level and will be responsible for the health and nutrition aspects of the project’s objective to improve access to and use of nutritious foods.
∎ She/he will focus primarily on maternal child health and nutrition (MCHN), targeting the first 1,000 days, with the pregnant and lactating women and children under the age of five as the primary beneficiaries along with adolescents.
∎ She/he will be responsible for the selection of civil society organization (CSO) partners; the formation and training of Care Groups; and working with nutrition specialist to develop materials needed for Care Group, adolescent groups and SBCC activities.
∎ She/he will also work with Agriculture Officers to provide technical input for diversified household food production and consumption and nutrition-sensitive agriculture extension materials and activities.
∎ He/she will work to engage the persons with disability in regular nutrition activities.
∎ He/she will be responsible for ensuring monitoring & evaluation, networking and coordination, communications with sub district government Health focal point, capacity building for project staff as well as government health staff.
∎ She/he will also coordinate with upazila health administration on regular basis and to coordinate with different institution like community clinic, satellite clinic, Union Parishad, Union Health and Family welfare center, union sub center, Upazilla health complex, Upazilla level others sector to ensure their contributions to deliver activities efficiently and effectively.
∎ He/she will participate in meetings with departments of Health and Family welfare, Agriculture, Women and Child Affairs, Education and others as needed at sub-district level and is responsible for program/project reports, documentation, and follow up on implementation of recommendations and highlight in the world vision social media, monthly picture report and case stories.
∎ He/She will also work closely with the community and the consortium members/ partner in delivering basic nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive services and share reports timely.
∎ He/She will make frequent field visits, writing qualitative reports, practical use of PLA tools and techniques.
∎ She/he will report to Sub District Co-ordinator, and also matrix relationship with nutrition specialist.
∎ This position is based in Jamalpur and the duration of this project is 5 years.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Improve quality adolescent, maternal and child health services including promotion of MIYCF practices, basic health and nutrition services at Primary health care center, and Upazila level service center and referrals to upward level for Woman and children under 2 years including pregnant, lactating and newborns.
∎ Monitor the nutritional situation of targeted beneficiary and disseminate various health and nutrition message using BCC approaches, tools through approved guidelines.
∎ Increase consumption and utilization of nutritious foods & supplements by mothers, Pregnant Women, newborns & children under 2 at HH level
∎ Improve knowledge of adolescent groups on basic nutrition, SRHR, digital farming solution apps and engage them in decreasing the malnutrition rate in community.
∎ Strengthen governance policy and public engagement of MNCH through building capacity of government health staff and community health workers at different level.
∎ Improved essential nutritional knowledge of household base beneficiary specially woman group, fathers group, grandmothers group and others community group members.
∎ Understanding of barriers faced by women, girls, persons with disability in the equitable distribution and consumption of food and identification of key area’s needs, which can be addressed by the project and include them purpose.
∎ Ensure participatory Monitoring & Evaluation system
∎ Manage Upazila based all supporting team members and build their capacity subsequently.
∎ Networking and linkage with consortium members, local government, WV regional office and WV national office

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Clear understanding on basic nutrition and nutrition sensitive services
∎ Knowledge on project management
∎ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
∎ Leadership and managerial skills
∎ Ability to be a self-starter who is able to motivate team members to achieve common goals.
∎ Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple deadlines.
∎ Communications and networking
∎ Good command in English & Bengali both in writing and speaking
∎ Decision making and conflict resolution skills
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation
∎ Minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience in health / nutrition programming/ relevant donor funded projects.
∎ World Vision experience.
∎ Must be willing and able to travel frequently.

Salary: Tk. 55000 - 65000 (Monthly)
