Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. Nursing/Public Health Nursing degree from any recognized institution.
Job Context:
∎ A pioneer organisation engaged in prevention of disability, reduction of malnutrition and alleviation of poverty is seeking applications from competent candidates is seeking applications from competent candidates for its PROSHANTI Project (a Prolapse Project in Bangladesh).
∎ Dhaka based but requires frequent project visits in 17 district facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the guidance of the Project Manager to: make plan and implement the nurses training for 20 clinic/Institutions.
∎ Train-up the nurses of the clinics/institutions by following a guideline/protocol on management of pelvic organ prolapse.
∎ Using pre/post training checklists & assessment as per guideline.
∎ The theoretical and skill practice session following the protocol to enrich knowledge and skills of respective nurses.
∎ Nurses will be trained on insertion of pessary and its management.
∎ She should train nurses on counseling, screening, surgery fitness and informed consent.
∎ Trainee nurses should know about OT sterilization, patient management, use of PDS suture and others and will get training/refresher by nurse educator.
∎ Train the nurses on post-operative management of fluid, urinary retention, bowel move, pain management, infection prevention and pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT).
∎ Care about vaginal pack, catheter, bandage and counseling of the patient.
∎ Reassurance and follow up the patients.
∎ Maintain contacts with surgeons, nurses and managers of the clinic/institution.
∎ Will attain and support the overseas team in Bangladesh as well related workshop/seminar.
∎ Regular update database of nurses and reporting.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Teaching experience as Nursing Instructor/Lecturer or in Clinical experience
∎ Should have excellent communication & coordination skills in English & Bengali
∎ Should be energetic and polite in manner with positive personality
∎ Must be self-motivated, target oriented and a self-starter and should have good presentation, interpersonal and networking skills.
