Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Staying up to date: Reporters stay up to date with current events by studying papers and attending events.
∎ Articulating Audio /Video information clearly and effectively to the audience, often under pressure.
∎ This includes maintaining composure and professionalism during live broadcasts.
∎ Reassure and maintain relationships with sources to gather information and insights that contribute to well-rounded reporting.
∎ Respond to breaking news events quickly and accurately, providing real-time updates and coverage as needed.
∎ Cooperating: Reporters cooperate with other reporters, producers, and the chief editor.
∎ Work closely with editors, photographers, videographers, and other team members to produce cohesive and compelling stories.
∎ Adhere to the highest standards of journalistic ethics and integrity, ensuring fairness, balance, and objectivity in all reporting.
∎ Candidates must have a strong understanding of how content and visual story-telling methods are functioning.
∎ Find ways to share reporting responsibilities across markets and topics as needed.
∎ Utilize social media for reporting and story promotion Ability to perform other digital duties as needed.
