Experience:

• Experience Requirements

• Minimum five years’ experience in experience in monitoring and evaluation

• Working experience within NGO/INGO in positions like M&E

• Skills

• Have knowledge on apps-based data collection tools (KOBO, ODK)

• Computer skills with (Microsoft Office (MS Word), Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Experience in conducting baseline, mid-term and end line evaluation

• Previous experience in conducting research

• Expert in the field report, documentation in English

• Must have experience in rights based, advocacy and campaign related project implementation

Job Context

Uttaran is a national development organization working in the coastal region of Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged. Uttaran facilitates in getting access to and control over resources by the poor and disadvantaged to improve agricultural productivity and economic empowerment.

Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer for the DURBAR: Girls-Led Climate Solutions for South-West Bangladesh Project with the help of Plan International, Bangladesh

Reports to: MEAL Manager, Uttaran

Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Collaborating with the Project Coordinator to design, plan and execute the M&E framework of the project

• Ensuring proper preservation of project-related Monitoring and Evaluation documents, reports, publications, and other relevant materials

• Demonstrating knowledge of qualitative and quantitative M&E systems, large database management, and monitoring of access to resources, services

• Managing M&E/MIS database, including template design, data entry, cleaning, logical checks of monitoring data

• Preparing event report, monthly, quarterly, annually and other reports as per the donor and Uttaran’s requirement

• Creating success stories/case studies with photographs

• Monitoring and evaluating field level project activities

• Ensure the implementation of all activities of the project qualitatively and quantitatively

• Work with relevant committees, and working groups to implement program activities following the work plan, implementation in the schedule, and Monitoring & Evaluation plan

• Additional responsibilities

• Ensure the safeguarding of project staff through training and adherence to policies

• Stay informed of safeguarding legislation and guidelines and share information as per policy

• Attend external and internal safeguarding orientation, training and maintain accurate records

• Contribute to the design and implementation of safeguarding systems and best practices

• Admin Roles and Responsibilities:

• Abide by the staff’s management policy and accounts management policy of the organization.

• Submission of weekly/monthly activity plan and report.

• Maintain and fulfil properly movement register for field visit

• Fulfil and maintain leave form properly

• Maintain tour forms properly and submission after tour with the voucher

• Preservation of organizational files and resources

• Preparation for conducting additional responsibility for the requirement of the organization

• Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views to higher authority and finally show the faith to the organization

• Consolidated and unite for the organization
