Job Context:
∎ Solidar Suisse is a International NGO founded in 1936 and member of the European Solidar Network. We support and implement projects in the fields of Decent Work, Governance, and Humanitarian Aid in 14 countries worldwide. Since the start of the Rohingya refugee crisis in 2017, Solidar Suisse has supported Rohingya refugees in the field of emergency shelter livelihood and WASH. In 2018, Solidar established a presence in Bangladesh and has selected three local organisations who implement food security-, livelihood, shelter-, WASH and DRR projects by respecting COVID-19 response mechanism announced by GoB and WHO. The Monitoring and Documentation Officer will support the ERR to research and generate evidence for new/ innovative ideas, by identifying new business opportunities and support the team in developing new proposals. We offer an international working environment within a highly motivated team.

∎ Reports to: Emergency Response Representative (ERR) Solidar Suisse Bangladesh
∎ Close functional link: Livelihood Coordinator, Solidar Suisse Bangladesh
∎ Nature of Job: Employment Contract

Job Responsibilities:
∎ PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Lead Monitoring & Documentation of all projects. S/he will design and develop project related monitoring tools, ensures quality aspects are met and assist the ERR in drafting project progress reports, (PPR), survey questionnaires, meeting minutes, case studies.
∎ Work closely with ERR & team to identify quality improvements, implementation gaps, and identify opportunities to increase knowledge and skill transfer to beneficiaries and partnerorganisations.
∎ KEY TASK:
∎ Design and develop project-related monitoring tools. Ensure process and progress documentation as per the project's requirements.
∎ Contribute to prepare donor reports for grants awarded together with the program and monitoring team.
∎ Generate new/ innovative ideas in relation to Solidar Suisse thematic areas through research, field visit, secondary sources and prepare monitoring reports & success storries
∎ MONITORING:
∎ Ensure quality monitoring data as per MEAL Plan and data quality standards.
∎ Support partner(s) and Solidar Suisse programstaff in Result Based Monitoring (RBM).
∎ Support the implementation of data quality controls to ensure the integrity of project data.
∎ Regular field visit and shafre findings for improvement.
∎ EVALUATION:
∎ Support project team in deveveloping and conducting Mid-term review and project end evaluation data.
∎ Organise and co-facilitate participatory reflection events with partners and relevant stakeholders to identify learning and recommendations.
∎ Support project team in developing and conducting Post Distribution Monitoring data
∎ ACCOUNTABILITY AND LEARNING:
∎ Development and establish high-quality accountability mechanism (CRM)
∎ Support project team/partner MEAL Officer to identify and document lessons learned, good practices and results.
∎ REPORTING & DOCUMENTATIONS:
∎ Support project team in collecting and maintaining appropriate documentation, develop country communication plan to communicate with shelter-, health & food security sector
∎ Support Solidar Suisse Country Office to generate adequate and appropriate data in a SMART approach
∎ Ensure data protection at all level.
∎ Rrovide input to defined reporting formats (SitRep, Quarterly, Bi-annual, Annual, report)
∎ CAPACITY BUILDING:,
∎ Support partner's competence in strengthening existing MEAL systems, capacities to improve data analysis, data management.
∎ Develop and train project staff on mobile-based data collection tools using Open Data Kit/KoBo-ODK.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3-4 years experience working in M&E/ in context of Rohingya
∎ response.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
∎ Intermediate level of understanding on various monitoring tools and software.
∎ Ability to manage a diverse workload, independently and able to meet sets targets and priorities
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and share evidence of good practice with internal and external stkeholders
