Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed university degree in Medical Science (MBBS), post-graduation in Public Health will carry added value.
∎ Two years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Health or in a related field.
∎ Experience working with government agencies, local authorities, international organizations, NGOs and communities in the field of health programme will be preferred.

Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is in agreement with UNICEF to implement a project titled `Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) and Nutrition Service Delivery for Bangladeshi Host Communities at Cox`s Bazar District`. The project will be funded by the World Bank to strengthen the current health system which has been constrained due to the Rohingya influx in 2017 and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such, PHD inviting applications from qualified MNCH Supervisors (Consultant) with the skills to integrate maternal and neonatal health services in Cox`s Bazar district and the respective Upazilas. The MNCH Supervisors will extend the maternal health services to addressing existing gaps in effective curative and preventive approaches by focusing the promotion of maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health services to increase facility delivery and to contribute to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality in the district. MNCH Supervisor will provide coordination, monitoring and supervision support for maternal and neonatal health services in their assigned Upazilas.
∎ Job Location: MNCH Supervisor to support Cox`s Bazar District Civil surgeon office and assigned upazilas

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the technical supervision of UNICEF's Health Section at Cox's Bazar, and in collaboration with CS-Office & assigned UHCs and relevant government institutions, MNCH Supervisor will undertake the following tasks:
∎ Facilitate and coordinate project-related activities at the Upazila level, including meetings, training and field activities, monitoring and supportive supervision, ensuring alignment with work plans and synergies.
∎ Act as a mentor for on-the-job capacity building of the health staff and community level health workers
∎ Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective Upazila Health Complex (UHC)
∎ Develop a travel plan and share with UH&FPO and UNICEF Health Section and ensure field visits to observe EPI sessions with e-Tracker System, Community Clinics for maternal and neonatal health services with maternal e-Tracker System.
∎ Communicate at the community level to strengthen services such as ANC/PNC, essential newborn care, KMC, and referral to increase facility delivery.
∎ Provide on-the-job capacity building of government staff at Upazila level and community level.
∎ Provide information on supplies for ordering from the warehouse to avoid stock out.
∎ Organize and attend the health coordination meeting and update on different maternal, neonatal, and child health-related coverage data.
∎ Organize Quarterly/bi-annual/yearly review meetings on project activities, analysis of project achievements, bottlenecks, and way forward.
∎ Provide support in organizing GOB/ Donor visits.
∎ Submit monthly activity reports and time-sheets properly and elaborately.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Well-developed skills in personal organization, priority setting, problem solving and writing; Strong client orientation and service approach with personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results.
∎ High degree of judgment and initiative; ability to work with a high degree of independence within assigned areas.
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the Core Values; Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds.

Salary:
∎ BDT 216,000 per month (TAX will be deducted at source)
