∎ At least 2 years of experience in child protection information management
∎ Experience in Child Protection in Emergencies and global standards for information management
∎ Experience in Database Management, Data Analysis and Reporting, Management Information Systems (MIS) Design, System Troubleshooting, Data Security and Integrity, Skills in planning, executing, and monitoring MIS-related projects using tools
∎ Experience with the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS+)
∎ Excellent analytical skills
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
∎ Excellent statistical analysis skills
∎ Outstanding IT skills, including excel, coding for KOBO or similar platforms, SPSS and CPIMS+
∎ Strong technical and critical analysis abilities
∎ Well-developed organizational skills
∎ Highly ethical, empathetic, motivated, proactive, autonomous, rigorous, and organized.
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Proficiency with Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
∎ Knowledge of Data Visualization Best Practices and Techniques

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The MIS Officer contributes to the safe, ethical and efficient collection, storage, usage, management, analysis and disposal of all data generated by the CP program.
∎ Specific Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Establish and implement the MIS
∎ 1.1 MIS Strategy:
∎ • Develop and implement appropriate data collection methodologies and tools, analysis plans, reporting outlines, and data/information dissemination/utilization plans;
∎ 1.2 MIS Development and Implementation:
∎ • Create user-friendly data entry interfaces ensuring that they correspond to department needs and their information gathering system;
∎ • Ensure accurate and consistent data entry and that databases are up to date;
∎ • Provide additional updates and data analysis as required;
∎ • Evaluate need for and recommend system upgrades;
∎ • Coordinate and test modifications to the system;
∎ • Oversee the data entry process and recommend and implement guidelines for data entry in coordination with relevant staff;
∎ • Develop and implement proper backup, restore, data validation, and security procedures to ensure data integrity and availability;
∎ 2. Data Analysis:
∎ • Manage the analysis of data collected from field assessments and distributions, including identifying trends in the data, and ensure the production of reports in various formats including graphs, charts, etc., as required;
∎ • Ensure the verification of the accuracy of the data collected during assessments;
∎ • Supervise the cleaning of the data collected during assessments and flag any issues to the relevant departments;
∎ • Support the improvements of the data collection tools and processes and pilot new ideas with assessment teams in the field
∎ 3. Efficient Sharing and Usage of Information:
∎ • Continually gather information from the field in order to monitor the humanitarian situation, track trends, and provide basic forecasts.
∎ • Ensure effective and efficient information production, sharing and usage among all target groups and end-users;
∎ • Provide capacity building on effective use of database products and systems.
∎ 4. Team Management and Training:
∎ • Ensure that staff under direct supervision understand and are able to perform their roles and responsibilities;
∎ • Manage Data Entry Assistant, and MEAL Volunteers delineating their responsibilities and follow-up the work plans and day-to-day activities;
∎ • Provide capacity building on effective use of systems, such as specific training on mobile data collection tools and methods
∎ 5. Reporting
∎ • Contribute and share information by Weekly/Monthly/half yearly and yearly basic.
∎ • Share information and input to INFORM, Sit-rep, CFW, 5W, PFU, CIC, and others for the CP project.
∎ • Share monthly reports/annexes for the project activity.
∎ • Do all kinds of reports for the project assigned by MEAL Manager.
∎ • Create dashboard /support in producing monthly summaries of the activity data for presentation/discussion to the project and MEAL through PowerBI/ Tableau Software
