∎ POSITION OVERVIEW
∎ Information Management is one of the keys to identifying needs and assisting affected populations in a more efficient manner. It ensures that information gaps are identified, and that data from different sources is linked and analyzed, and become actionable information within an organization and for its stakeholders. It helps to ensure evidence-based decision making and result-based management of the intervention.
∎ The MIS officer position helps to optimize workflow and ensure that the right information reaches the right people. The position helps the management with necessary information in making the decisions efficiently about the program. MIS also works to ensure evidence-based services under the intervention. It helps to track the progress towards intended goal and inform the management on the significant trends, risks and changes. MIS officer discriminates information and Submits reports to different stakeholders and ensure accountability in the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ MIS Officer reports to Country Representative/Program Manager in performance of duties and devotes time as per following broad headings:
∎ Information Management (50%):
∎ Collect and analyze date to assure support to the program for their improvement by providing reliable field information on the implementation status.
∎ Ensure smooth and effective information system for better coordination and management decision making.
∎ Collection, compilation, analysis and dissemination of the information in accurate and timely manner.
∎ Maintaining and monitoring Information system and data records in organization.
∎ KoBo data management form design and implement for internal data collection.
∎ Ensure proper data records in the registers, tally, and other form of material for all services in the health facility/service point.
∎ Guide facility-based staff and service providers on proper information management and reporting.
∎ Ensure a proper channel for internal team to ensure necessary information for the management, donors, and stakeholders at earliest.
∎ Statistical analysis of data for the management and field teams to interpret the significant changes, achievements, trends etc.
∎ Share different information products, updates and materials beneficial to the staff.
∎ Ensure global standards are maintained regarding SRH related information management.
∎ Reporting and Documentation (30%):
∎ Set up internal reporting systems of health facilities/service points (e.g., Health Facility reports using kobo software).
∎ Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually reports for different audiences.
∎ Meeting the periodic and situational reporting demand of donors and partners.
∎ Ensure timely submission of the reports to health sector, working groups and other applicable coordination forums.
∎ Ensure the submission of periodic reports to the Government authorities.
∎ Preparing periodic and annual progress report as per project plan.
∎ Develop event reports, meeting minutes, case studies, and activity materials.
∎ Generate data and narrative reports for the organization.
∎ Reporting through various tools: KoBo, EWARS, DHIS, GoData, google form and excel etc.
∎ Reports submission and data management for morbidity and morbidity surveillance, and any disease with outbreak patient.
∎ Support relevant field staff and service providers on data management and reporting.
∎ Develop reporting and data recording tools for the organization.
∎ Support the management to prepare work/action plan for the project.
∎ Assist the management to develop project proposals, policies, and guidelines for the organization.
∎ Analysis and Evaluation (20%):
∎ Monitor and track implementation status of the project activities as per the work plan.
∎ Tracking the results based on different level of program indicators on a regular basis.
∎ Visiting the implementation sites to monitor information management and other program activities.
∎ Support the management in other form of program monitoring exercises.
∎ Respond to programmatic monitoring and evaluation initiatives of donors, partners and any other relevant authorities.
∎ Data quality review.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Skills
∎ Experience as MIS Officer in an NGO/INGO especially the one worked in health.
∎ Demonstrated experience of working closely with the government agencies, especially with DDFP, Health Sector & UNO, CS Office and experience of working with a large complex multi-partner team.
∎ Excellent working knowledge in using MIS tools and templates.
∎ Understanding of NGO and public sector and national health system issues is nice to have.
∎ Fluency in Bangla and English and effective communication skill (verbal/nonverbal)
∎ Effective presentation of relevant information (oral & written)
∎ Willingness to travel in field areas, proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and Google suit
∎ Experience
∎ A minimum of 1+ years of working experience, especially in INGO/CSO.
∎ Experience in developing SBC materials and messages particularly on SGBV and Reproductive health rights of the women and girls is preferred.
∎ Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skill with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
∎ An individual with frequent traveling experience is necessary.
∎ Experience in working in Cox's Bazar area, in emergency response, will be an advantage.
