Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accountabilities:
∎ Ensuring the implementation and continuity of antenatal and postnatal care of mothers and babies, family planning, comprehensive abortion care, management of victims of sexual violence, reproductive tract infections and fistula care in accordance with MSF Reproductive Core Package of Activities and reinforce the implementation of standardised protocols.
∎ Collaborating with the medical doctor and /or nurses in the management of Sexual Violence and other patient cases as indicated.
∎ Ensuring hygiene and sterilization criteria (including universal precautions) are met according to MSF specifications.
∎ Performing cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used following the user manual and protocols ; alert supervisor in case of malfunction.
∎ Guaranteeing a regular and ongoing supply of drugs and equipment required for maternity activities (including monitoring/consumption control/ordering of orders.
∎ Properly following up all newborn babies brought for postnatal care, informing mothers and relatives about importance of breast feeding, vaccination and possible complications resulting from harmful traditional practices.
∎ Ensuring patients’ right to privacy and confidentiality is respected.
∎ Identifying high risk pregnancies and ANC/PNC complications.
∎ Overseeing referral process to partner facilities for management of high risk pregnancies, ANC/PNC complications and delivery care.
∎ Performing any other job appropriate duties when assigned by supervisor in order to meet project needs.
∎ MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:
∎ This position supports the Sexual and Reproductive Health Out-Patient care and services in the urban primary health care clinics operated by MSF in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka. Adolescent SRH is one of the focus programs run by MSF. SRH services include - ANC, PNC, family planning, menstrual regulation, gynecological conditions, services for GBV services, nutrition to pregnant mothers and community health promotion activities. MSF Kamrangirchar clinics does not provide maternity services (no delivery/ maternity ward) . The SRH department currently consists of several Medical Doctors who manage Obstetric and gynecological services, family planning/menstrual regulation and complicated ANC/PNC cases and referrals. Nurses currently provide all routine ANC/PNC care; with the addition of midwives, duties will be re-organized. In our clinics, midwives will be working collaboratively with MDs and nurses.
∎ Clinic specific duties include:
∎ Flexibility to be rostered for either clinic on a rotational basis.
∎ Management of routine and complicated ANC/PNC cases (MDs available for consults as needed.)
∎ Oversight of referral process to partner facilities for management of high risk pregnancies, ANC/PNC complications and delivery care.
∎ Provision of SGBV care including menstrual regulation/safe abortion care.
∎ Management of SFC program; screening of malnourished mothers and provision of supplementary food.
∎ Participation in EPI program as needed.
∎ Preparation of programmatic reports (ANC/PNC, nutrition, FP, EPI.)
∎ Participation in trainings, meetings, etc.
∎ Willingness to be trained in basic obstetric ultrasound skills.
∎ Function in a supervisory role (reporting to MD SRH department supervisor) with some responsibility for training nurses in basic ANC/PNC.
∎ Possibility of playing a role in our community outreach program, lending clinical support to ANC/PNC, SGBV and family planning outreach efforts as needed; this could include activities like providing basic health trainings for health educators and assisting with adolescent groups.
∎ Willingness to accept other duties that may be assigned by supervisor dependent upon project needs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 59 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Strong patient interaction/counseling skills and experience working with adolescents are assets

Salary: Tk. 55000 - 59000 (Monthly)
