  • Product Knowledge: Knit Garments (Must) 
  • Background: Buying House Background (preferably from the Brand Liaison office) 
  • Communication: Must be a good communicator in English both Verbal and Written.
  • DATA Centric: He must be a data-driven Person (good control on Excel) 
  • Leadership Quality: He must have team-leading experience.
  • Mgt Know-how: He must have knowledge of different Mgt Systems.
  • Attitude: On-field and problem Solver.
  • Nationality: Bangladeshi (as operational involvement with the factory is too much)


Responsibilities & Context:

Tex International is looking for a skilled and experienced Merchandising Team Leader-HOD to oversee the Individual merchandising department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring effective communication with buyers, and streamlining the merchandising process to optimize timelines and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and guide the merchandising team on buyer tools and ensure effective utilization.

  • Facilitate clear communication between buyers, merchants, and internal stakeholders to avoid miscommunication.

  • Oversee the pre-production (PP) meetings, ensuring SOP compliance and production readiness.

  • Establish routines for the team and ensure execution.

  • Develop a foolproof system for timely forwarder bookings.

  • Maintain records of all legal contracts.

  • Build and maintain relationships with production units and monitor T&A performance.

  • Store and analyze historical business data for future improvements.

  • Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and recommend data-driven improvements.

  • Keep SOPs updated and train the team to follow them effectively.

  • Lead and mentor the merchandising team, fostering collaboration and skill development.

  • Critical Success Factors (CSF):

  • Streamline processes and optimize timelines through critical path management.

  • Support the implementation of strategies to drive sales and profitability.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.

  • Oversee sample development from fit sample to gold seal sample with a close follow-up process.
