Job Context:
∎ Improve Overseas Merchandising Teams to maximize order placement opportunities.
∎ Lead Time improvement for Overseas Production.
∎ Overseas Supply Chain capacity planning.
∎ Required quality performance in overseas production.
∎ Achieving the buying price competitiveness for Overseas Sourcing.
∎ Evaluate, improve Over seam Merchandiser team and identify training requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Guide the Overseas Merchandisers, Cpm Merchandisers , local offices in performing to high standards of quality and on-time delivery (Critical path management), and competitive price.
∎ And support team to develop the business such as lead time, on time delivery and business volume.
∎ Set up marketing mind in the Merchandising to give better service to Buying team;
∎ By updating HQ with running production of other competitors, new fabrics, accessories, designs.
∎ Review continually the measurable performances of Bangladesh Garment merchandising team.
∎ Supervise the teams and give SMART targets
∎ Monitor merchandising department is set to targets and ensure they are enroute.
∎ Take corrective action plans where any department are lower than expected performances
∎ Mentoring and/or coaching Overseas Merchandiser teams regarding strategic importance of Overseas Sourcing
∎ Search and explore new product groups which Bangladesh not producing by working in coordination with all departments.
∎ Research the market and support Turkey Head Office and fabrics, accessories, samples, designs, collections, presentations.
∎ Monitor all Country Order Placements and discuss with team; how to make more business in the country if order placement performance is poor.
∎ Develop and manage direct shipment project Bangladesh stage. Ensure suppliers and our teams understand the procedures. Support Merchandising to give better service to head office on pricing, order placement, production follow ups where needed
∎ Constantly determining needs of internal customers, and implementing action plans
∎ Analyze current lead times. Prepare suggestions how to improve. Take the approved actions and delegate to teams the follow ups.
∎ Monitor team to evaluate current and future Vendor lists based on vendor performances, product groups, technical audits.
∎ Ensure to guide H/O when Selecting / approving garment and fabric suppliers proposed considering LC WAIKIKI requirements and expectations
∎ Search how to improve lead-times and write SWOT and give Smart Targets
∎ Managing the relationship between garment, fabric and trim suppliers
∎ Support and develop projects to improve lead-times. Find possibilities to make Fast Track orders.
∎ Evaluating the vendors performance and grading them together with overseas team annually.
∎ Determining future strategically plans (investment, financial support etc.) with the suppliers which have sustainable good evaluation performance.
∎ Liaison with Sounding Managers for planning and allocating overseas sourcing budget and capacity for fabric and garment suppliers.
∎ Ensure and inform the agreed capacities are used according to the given projections.
∎ Supporting buying teams in solving and / or approving quality and test problems.
∎ Liaison with Sourcing Managers to monitoring compliance of suppliers to LC WAIKIKI's ecological and product safety standards.
∎ Liaison closely with Aql ad Technique Managers with respect to Aql failures. Ensure CAPS are written.
∎ Monitor and review monthly quality performance of vendors and set the quality targets monthly and yearly according according to KPI.
∎ Supporting buying teams to facilitate price negotiations between buyers and suppliers.
∎ Monitoring the countrywide labor and materials cost, economical and political risks closely and updating buying teams regularly.
∎ Managing, mentoring, Coaching merchandising team and ensure the team serve properly based upon their job.
∎ Acts as the situational leader of the merchandising team when evaluating, analyzing and choosing the suitable suppliers that will give quotes, when getting quotes, when negotiating prices, when placing orders, when giving sample production approval, and when solving the problems experienced in order to source products with the target profit margin, on the target deadline and at the target quality.
