Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technologist will be mainly responsible for: Sourcing, Production control and Communication
∎ New product and producer sourcing based on HQ requirement
∎ Communication point between DO and HQ.
∎ Daily communication with HQ buyers and local producers for new product development and confirmed order execution.
∎ Follow up development, FIT and PP samples to assure in correct quality, color, measurements, fit and on time submission.
∎ Strictly follow-up the TNA plan for each and every model and continuous communication with suppliers & buyers to respect the TNA.
∎ Lab dip/fabric quality/Shade band approval
∎ Visit factory more frequently.
∎ Support Technician and QA to proper and accurate communication with HQ
∎ Check and analyze each month shipment punctually and quality report together with CM, find the weakness and plan for necessary action for next month.
∎ Each day QA report check, analyze and discuss with CM for any alarming issue.
∎ Knitting, Dying, cutting, sewing, finishing status follow-up for each model/color and share to concern HQ buyer and CM
∎ Details production planning check (from fabric ETD/ETA to packing/ex-factory). Based on this planning, QA visit plan will be organized. If he finds any discrepancy in planning, talk with factory management immediately and pressurize to keep the TNA and involve CM to talk with factory if needed.
∎ Inspection booking, ex-factory and stuffing report check and report.
∎ Fabric/Yarn/imported raw materials ETD and ETA check as per TNA.
∎ Support HQ buyer to collect current authentic combed yarn price from good source and share which is helpful during garment negotiation.
∎ Maintain and update development chart & Order follow-up chart every day
∎ Collect and analyze factory capacity and Big Star order allocation. Risk Analysis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4-5years in similar position.
∎ Candidates having Textile Engineering back ground with practical factory experience will get preference.
∎ The applicants must have at least 4-5 years' experience in garment development & merchandising fields with at least 2-3 years in same position with any reputed Production Unit.
∎ Knowledge over Denim fabrics/washing process will get preference for Denim Merchandiser
∎ Knowledge over Knitting/Dying and overall fabric quality will get preference for Knit Merchandiser
∎ Should have hands-on experience on Customer Relationship Management, Product & Business development as well as Vendor Management
∎ Having excellent product knowledge with capacity of handling very demanding and renowned customers
∎ Having able to handle small quantity orders smooth production controlling.
∎ Conversant with handling world famous European demanding customers
∎ Able to anticipate problems and provide constructive solutions
∎ Proficient in both written and spoken English
∎ Having excellent e-mail communication skill with MS office operation.
∎ Should have basic commercial and documentation knowledge.
∎ Ability to do Consumption and Costing of various kinds of sub-class products
∎ Must be dynamic, energetic, self-motivated, and self-organized with a positive attitude
∎ Should have strong knowledge about (Fabric, Trims, Accessories, Print/Embroidery & washing)
