Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct various laboratory tests on samples (e.g., blood, urine, tissue) to assist in diagnosing diseases, monitoring health conditions, and supporting research.
Maintains laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Set up and calibrate laboratory instruments, ensuring they are functioning correctly. Regularly clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
Analyse test results, identify abnormalities, and document findings. In some cases, provide preliminary interpretations or recommendations based on the results.
Any other task assigned by management.
