Job Responsibilities

• Analyzing the chemical constituents of the patient's body fluids.

• Conducting culture and sensitivity tests.

• Identifying bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.

• Performing biochemical and serological tests.

• Operating sophisticated lab equipment such as cell counters and microscopes.

• Storing and retrieving equipment and chemicals according to the specifications.

• Logging data from medical tests and entering results into a patient’s medical record.

• Discussing the results and findings of lab tests and procedures with physicians.

• Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas.

• Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes.

• Accurately updating patient information in the organizational database.

• Working with supervising Physicians and following their directions at all times.

• Executing any other duties assigned by the authority.
