Job Context

Sara Hospital & Diagnostic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Officer for the NICU Unit. The candidate must have hands-on experience in neonatal care, critical newborn management, and NICU protocols. The position requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide continuous medical care to neonates admitted in the NICU.

• Assess and monitor newborns’ vital signs, growth parameters, and health status.

• Manage preterm babies, low birth weight babies, and critically ill neonates.

• Assist senior pediatricians/neonatologists in performing procedures (intubation, cannulation, CPAP/Oxygen therapy, etc.).

• Prescribe medications, treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Monitor ventilators, incubators, infusion pumps, phototherapy units, and other NICU equipment.

• Communicate with parents regarding the baby’s condition and treatment progress.

• Ensure strict adherence to NICU infection control protocols.

• Participate in round-the-clock duty roster (day/night shifts).

• Work collaboratively with nurses, technicians, and NICU support staff.
