The On-Call Female Medical Officer will be responsible for providing expert obstetric care, particularly performing cesarean sections and managing emergency obstetric cases. She will ensure the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns during delivery and the postpartum period.
Perform cesarean sections and manage obstetric emergencies. Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
Diagnose and manage complications during pregnancy and childbirth.
Assist in normal deliveries when required.
Work collaboratively with gynecologists, anesthetists, nurses, and support staff.
Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and medical ethics. safely and efficiently.
Manage intraoperative and postoperative care of obstetric patients.
Handle obstetric emergencies such as PPH, eclampsia, and fetal distress.
Conduct antenatal assessments when required.
Provide critical decision-making during labor complications.
Ensure proper documentation of surgical procedures and patient notes.
Respond promptly to labor room and emergency calls during on-call duty.
Coordinate with anesthetists, nurses, and the pediatric team during surgeries.
Maintain sterile techniques and follow hospital infection control protocols.
Adhere to BMDC/DGHS maternal health service guidelines.
