Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Biochemistry, and other basic medical sciences according to the approved curriculum.

• Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, and other teaching-learning materials to facilitate effective student learning.

• Deliver competency-based and student-centered teaching using modern educational methods, including demonstrations, case discussions, and problem-based learning.

• Assess students through written examinations, viva voce, practical examinations, quizzes, assignments, and continuous assessments.

• Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance, assessment results, and course documentation.

• Guide and mentor students in their academic and professional development while promoting ethical and professional behavior.

• Participate in curriculum planning, course review, and the development of academic policies and educational resources.

• Coordinate with faculty members to ensure effective delivery of theoretical and practical teaching.

• Ensure compliance with the standards and guidelines of the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) and other relevant regulatory authorities.

• Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, continuing professional development (CPD) activities, and scientific programs.

• Promote evidence-based practice by encouraging research, academic writing, and scholarly activities among students.

• Participate in institutional quality assurance activities, accreditation processes, and academic audits.

• Provide medical consultation and emergency care to students and staff whenever required.

• Supervise laboratory sessions and ensure the safe and proper use of laboratory equipment and teaching resources.

• Participate in admission, examination, and evaluation committees as assigned by the authority.

• Maintain professional competence through continuous medical education, training, and research activities.

• Perform any other academic, administrative, or clinical duties assigned by the Principal or the Governing Authority.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBBS from a recognized medical college.

• Permanent registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.

• Teaching experience in a nursing or medical educational institution will be preferred.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, PowerPoint) and online teaching platforms.
