Job Context:

∎ Job Location: Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide primary healthcare services to the Rohingya refugees, which includes diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses.
∎ Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Medical officer will be responsible to ensure the quality of health care in the clinics.
∎ Support and supervision of Medical Assistant, midwives, Pharmacist and others clinic staffs.
∎ Prepare all the necessary drugs, material and equipment before to start consultations
∎ Oversee the immunization and vaccination programs to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
∎ Regularly monitor maternal and child health, ensuring pregnant women receive proper care, and conduct regular check-ups for children.
∎ Follow the basic medical rules of hygiene when performing curative health consultations
∎ Take a proper medical history including reason for consultation, duration of the illness or complaints, main symptoms, past medical history and treatment of patients
∎ Diagnose and treat the diseases according to protocols in use (i.e. clinical guidelines)
∎ Fill in the morbidity chart according to the diagnosis for each patient
∎ Check the immunization status for all EPI targeted children and refer the unvaccinated children to the EPI paramedic
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity
∎ Facilitate referrals to specialized medical services or hospitals for cases that cannot be adequately addressed within the camp.
∎ Engage with the refugee community to understand their specific health needs and challenges.
∎ Fill in the EWARS template on a daily basis, as well as other required reports.
∎ Ready to perform any job given by the organization at any time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 50 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ 5 years of experience as Medical Officer in any private or NGO clinic/ hospital is preferable
∎ Experience in service delivery is desirable
∎ Have willingness to work in humanitarian response
∎ Have willingness to work in remote and hard to reach areas in Ukhiya Upazilla under Cox'-Bazar District.
∎ Good communication skills to work in the close collaboration with the partner organization
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supervisory experience, and well conversant in computer applications
∎ Ability to work under pressure, be flexible in challenging situations.
∎ Skills in clinical planning and decision making.
∎ Ability to work with people of various backgrounds, culture and religion.
Salary: Tk. 70000 - 80000 (Monthly)
