Job Responsibilities:
∎ Participate in the review and implementation the health policy for national staff, including approval of NS health bill within agreed upon authorization limit
∎ Active involvement in the assessment & identification of validated hospitals for national staff/their dependents, in collaboration with the Deputy Medical Coordinator and Hospital coordinator/Medical Team Leader (MTL)
∎ Implement a system of accessible and reliable pre-departure checks for detachment staff
∎ Participate in briefings and debriefings of all staff health managers in the field (MTLs, Human Resource Managers).
∎ Participate in briefing of the newly recruited staff on National Staff health policy, sick leave procedures and preventative measures
∎ Contribute in briefing of the volunteers on volunteer sick leave procedures and preventative measures
∎ Ensure that people with specific health conditions are well informed and safe about access to available healthcare and the level of risk taken when accepting a job/position.
∎ Responsible for vaccination of MSF OCA staff and support the MTL/Hospital Director (HD)/Deputy Medical Coordinator in following up of vaccination status of all OCA national staff, to ensure that all staff receive vaccination according to the in the national staff health policy
∎ Approval of sick-leave confirmation for national staff and volunteers if justifiable, in collaboration with the MTL/HD/Deputy Medical Coordinator
∎ Organize First-aid trainings for staff on regular basis
∎ Collects accurate and reliable data on illnesses, accidents and absenteeism, with a view to providing statistics on illnesses and the medical risks taken by all MSF staff.
∎ Assist in developing and updating the Medical contingency plan
∎ Advice and support to all MSF staff with health problems.
∎ Work in close collaboration with the staff health psychologists in the implementation of the staff mental health strategy
∎ Perform regular visits to MSF validated hospitals to guarantee the quality and harmonization of Staff health services across the mission
∎ Maintain regular contact with staff health responsible of other section in order to harmonize staff heath policy and volunteer Sick Leave policy across all sections in the country
∎ Support in the management of specific cases, with direct technical medical inputs or with advice from medical coordination
∎ Support the collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting of all activities related to staff health.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 59 years
∎ 2-year experience minimum as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work. Desirable working experience as staff health doctor or staff health focal with MSF/Hospitals/NGOs/UN
Salary:
∎ Tk. 117100 - 140520 (Monthly)
∎ Salary according to level nine (9) of the internal MSF salary grid, which is BDT 117,100 gross.
2 annual leave days per month worked.
