Experience:
Education & Academic:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) qualification.
Active and up-to-date licensing registration from BMDC
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of post-registration clinical work experience in a hospital, clinic, or INGO.
Demonstrated experience working in humanitarian or remote camp settings is highly desirable.
Experience in a BEmONC or SRH setting will get additional preferences.
Training in ultrasonography will be an added value
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience in managing OPD, IPD, and emergency cases.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical protocols and guidelines (e.g., IMCI, essential drug lists).
Proper knowledge and skills to operate and provide feedback on the EMR system.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-cultural, high-stress, and resource-constrained environment.
1. Clinical Care and Patient Management
General Clinical Care:
Prioritizing emergencies, review and assess the patient triage and manage admissions and referral initiation.
Conduct systematic examinations, diagnose conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatments according to established clinical guidelines.
Make decision of timely referrals for complex or critical cases, managing patients in a remote setting.
Manage medical emergencies across all clinical departments.
Perform and interpret diagnostic ultrasonography.
Maternity and Neonatal care:
Provide direct clinical support within the SRH unit, collaborating with midwives and other clinical and nonclinical staff.
Manage obstetric, neonatal, and pediatric emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation.
Provide consultation for high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetrics and gynaecology cases.
Support Normal Vaginal Deliveries (NVD) high risk condition or when requested by a midwife.
Provide emergency life-saving support in the SRH unit, with written consent obtained for male doctors as per protocol.
2. Professional Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for clinical oversight and communication with the Medical Supervisor during weekends and holidays.
Oversee the rational use of medicines and keep in touch about the inventory of medical drugs and supplies, adapting to supply chain limitations.
Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to other clinical staff. Particularly, Medical assistant, Nurse, nurse aids, Midwives.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation, record-keeping, and data reporting in facility registers and the EMR system.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute by providing feedback and insights.
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention, control measures, and patient confidentiality, especially in a camp setting.
