• Education - Bachelor's degree in social science or social Welfare, or Anthropology, or MIS or Data science, or degree in Information and Technology (IT), or Mathematics with proven computer literacy
• Essential : Minimum 2 years' work experience in data management/analysis
• Desirable : Experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
• Essential : English and Bangla Language
• Desirable : Chittagongian Dialect
• Essential : Computer literacy (word, excel, internet)
• Desirable : Knowledge in accounting software?ERPs (preferable Unifield)
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of epidemiological information into designated database systems, identify, articulate, and propose solutions to challenges faced and generate reports to support project planning and development.
• Work across different locations to collect data from MoH, private hospitals, clinics and hospitals under the City Corporation using MSF prescribed formats and report findings to the supervisor.
• Enter and manage medical and epidemiological data in MSF mission databases (DHIS2, Kobo, Excel, etc.) and conduct basic data analysis independently using Excel; support the supervisor in preparing analytical reports.
• Ensure that all entered data is properly authorized and supported by appropriate documentation (e.g., patient records).
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all databases.
• Conduct quality control checks, follow up on database queries, identify data entry errors, and implement corrections; immediately report any data anomalies to the supervisor.
• Communicate regularly with the supervisor to clarify data related queries, obtain missing information, correct errors, and support retraining when necessary.
• Ensure adequate availability of hardcopy data collection forms and related supplies.
• Assist in compiling and preparing regular reports (weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly) and provide detailed data insights to epidemiologists and medical teams as required.
• Performing other tasks in line with this role and delegated by the managers (Hierarchical and Functional).
• Proactively highlighting any major data changes or remarks immediately to line manager.
• File and manage documents in accordance with MSF standards and data protection guidelines.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and security of all patient data.
• Conduct regular backups of all data processed.
• Attend weekly meetings in departments.
• Articulate challenges and suggest solutions when there are issues faced in the data department
• Practice flexibility with regards to work responsibilities.
• Support supervisor in case of absence.
• Maintain confidentiality of all data and maintaining data security.
• Proper upload Data in DHIS2 server in specific departments.
Permanent Contract. Salary according to level Four (4) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 55500). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
