Education:

Educational Requirements

• MBBS or Master's Degree in any discipline in any recognized university (MPH preferable).

• Any third division/class in an academic career will lead to ineligibility.

Experience Requirements

• For medical graduates, minimum 02 years of experience in a relevant field and/or area of health programme management.

• For others, minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant field and/or area of health programme management.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

HEED Bangladesh is Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education and Economic Development for more the 52 (fifty-two) years. The Organization invites applications from the suitable candidates for its TB Control Program in Sylhet, Habiganj, Sunamgonj and Moulvibazar Districts of GFATM project as a sub-recipient NGO of BRAC.

Job Responsibilities:

a. Strengthen the government health system for integrated TB control and prevention

services

b. Promote government ownership and stewardship for implementing TB services

c. Support National TB Programmefor implementation and long-term sustainability

d. Coordinated planning with NTP in support of the transition towards government

stewardship of key programme activities

e. Support National TB Programmefor implementation of National TB/PPT/DR TB/ TB-

HIV/High-Risk population guidelines and SoPs

f. Optimum utilization of the resources and smooth implementation of the programme

under the leadership of NTP

g. Monitor and supervise the implementation of TB programme with an extensive field visit h. Periodic data analysis, programme reviews/meetings at different levels with filed staff in

collaboration with NTP following national guidelines and reaching targets/milestone

i. To functioning Gene X-pert and TB diagnostic center.

j. Ensure the implementation of TB Control programme in the relevant geographic area in line with the plan and budget.

k. Supervise and provide support for the administrative and financial management of the

programme.

I. Assess training needs and ensure training to the concerned staff.

m. Supervise and provide support for proper recording of patients, treatment in line under DOT by the DOT providers, and updating of TB registers to ensure improved case notification and treatment success.

n. Coordinate and provide support referral of presumptive and complicated cases to designated X-ray and Gene X-pert facilities for enhanced diagnosis and case management.

o. Organize and facilitate monthly and quarterly staff meetings with progress review and

development actions on the shortcomings for achieving stated targets on time.

p. Ensure availability of anti-TB drugs and other supplies.

q. Prepare proper weekly, monthly, quarterly and inventory reports.

r. Actively participate in the team and prepare annual work plans and monthly action plans.

s. Well-functioning Gene X-pert and TB diagnostic center to catch up missing TB cases.

t. Prepare action-taking reports monthly on the previous year's audit findings and send to

BRAC Management.

u. Prepare action-taking report based on previous findings.

Monitoring, supervision and coordination:

a. Maintain regular coordination with the Government, BRAC, and other stakeholders in

implementing TB Control activities.

b. Conduct regular field monitoring visits as per the action plan and prepare monthly visit

reports.

C. Facilitate internal and external monitoring and audit.

d. Facilitate periodic visits by BRAC, NTP, WHO, LFA, GFATM and other stakeholders.

e. Supervise and coordinate quality assurance and surveillance systems.

f. Visit the lab every week.

Reporting and dissemination:

a. Ensure disease reports weekly, monthly and quarterly, accurate and complete reporting

as per the agreement.

b. Ensure any other report to BRAC and NTP as and when necessary.
