Experience:
1. New Customer Acquisition
Identify and approach potential customers who regularly import/export goods.
Visit factories, buying houses, e-commerce businesses, traders, corporate offices, and SMEs.
Generate new customer leads through field visits, phone calls, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and other channels.
Present the company's courier, air freight, import, export, and logistics services.
Convert qualified leads into active customers.
2. Corporate & Commercial Sales
Develop relationships with companies that have regular international shipment requirements.
Target industries such as RMG, textiles, accessories, footwear, electronics, e-commerce, trading, and manufacturing.
Negotiate rates and commercial terms within the company's approved pricing structure.
Prepare quotations and service proposals for customers.
Follow up until the customer confirms the shipment/service.
3. Existing Customer Management
Maintain regular communication with existing customers.
Identify opportunities to increase shipment volume from existing accounts.
Understand customer complaints, requirements, and expectations and coordinate with Operations/Customer Service for solutions.
Conduct regular customer visits and relationship-building activities.
Ensure important customers receive proper follow-up and support.
4. Sales Target & Revenue Responsibility
Achieve monthly and yearly sales and shipment-volume targets.
Maintain a pipeline of potential customers and upcoming business opportunities.
Track daily sales activities, new leads, conversions, and revenue.
Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports for management.
Develop plans to recover lost or inactive customers.
5. Market Development
Monitor competitors' rates, services, transit times, routes, and promotional activities.
Identify new markets, routes, and customer segments.
Provide management with information about market trends and competitor activities.
Suggest new services or promotional campaigns based on customer demand.
6. Digital & Brand Marketing
Promote the company's services through Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email marketing, and other relevant channels.
Coordinate with the marketing team to prepare promotional content.
Develop campaigns for specific services—for example, China–Bangladesh, Hong Kong–Bangladesh, Vietnam–Bangladesh, air freight, courier, and door-to-door delivery.
Increase brand visibility and generate inquiries through digital channels.
7. Customer Follow-up
A major responsibility should be systematic follow-up:
Lead → Contact → Meeting → Quotation → Negotiation → Booking → Shipment → Repeat Business
The salesperson should not consider the job finished after sending a quotation. They should continue following up until the business is won or the opportunity is formally closed.
8. Coordination With Operations
Collect accurate shipment requirements from customers.
Coordinate with Operations regarding pickup, routing, transit time, customs requirements, delivery, and special handling.
Avoid making commitments to customers that Operations cannot fulfill.
Ensure customer promises and commercial terms are properly communicated internally.
9. Payment & Credit Follow-up
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices.
Coordinate with Accounts regarding overdue payments.
Ensure credit customers remain within approved credit limits.
Assist management in reducing overdue receivables.
10. Customer Retention
Maintain strong relationships with high-volume customers.
Regularly review customer shipment volumes.
Identify why customers reduce or stop shipments.
Take corrective action and bring inactive customers back.
