Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
∎ Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
∎ Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for client or supervisor.
∎ Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.
∎ Prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing.
∎ Assisting in handling contact with all media including creation and execution of a year round media plan.
∎ Build excellent relationships with local media base.
∎ Monitor and maintain public relations value database of media mileage garnered for the brand.
∎ Demonstrate effective selling techniques in promoting Marriott products & services through public relations activities.
∎ Support the growth and expansion of brand products, services and promotions.
∎ Ensure files, correspondence and other relevant business documentation is maintained.
∎ Ensure all product information is correct in all forms of communication such as internet, media, Starlink, printed material.
∎ Ensure all hotel associates are fully versed on these brand guidelines and give direction where appropriate.
∎ Develop an awareness of, and appreciation for, the richness of the cultural diversity of our clients, associates and location.
∎ Provide support as required to the Marketing Communications Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing.
∎ Undertake additional duties as requested by Marketing Communications Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and Hotel Management.
∎ Deliver enthusiastic, positive, helpful and respectful client communication, ensuring precise and effective information transfer.
∎ Respond to client queries within 24 hours of initial contact.
∎ Identify and share best practices
∎ Source and manage sponsorship opportunities / events for the Hotel.
∎ Media familiarization (Brand awareness/roll-outs)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
∎ Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
∎ Convey a high level of understanding of the importance of attention to details.
∎ Ensure accuracy by verifying work against standards or input of others.
∎ Handle challenging situations with guests diplomatically.
∎ Pursue increased responsibility
∎ Excellent written and spoken English are a must.
∎ Good computer skills with minimum requirement in use of Microsoft Windows 2007, Microsoft Office 2010, Internet and other popular software.
∎ Good interpersonal & communication skills.
∎ Ability to work independently and as a team.
Salary: Negotiable
