∎ Must have hands-on experience working with high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
∎ In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods and engineering design principles.
∎ Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced level), MS Project and BOQ/estimation software.
∎ Strong understanding of PWD Schedule of Rates and standard industry practices.
∎ Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Leadership ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare detailed BOQs based on architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and finishing drawings.
∎ Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost estimations for all construction components.
∎ Ensure BOQs are aligned with tender specifications and project budgets.
∎ Work with the project management and procurement teams to estimate project costs and prepare cost analysis based on BOQs.
∎ Assist in creating and maintaining project budgets based on the BOQ and other project documentation.
∎ Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
∎ Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP Teams and the Procurement Department for drawing analysis and material requirements.
∎ Collaborate with the Planning and Project teams for timeline and budget alignment.
∎ Analyze material specifications, rate schedules and market prices for accurate cost forecasting.
∎ Ensure the BOQ is compliant with all local regulations, industry standards and company policies.
∎ Review and validate BOQ data to ensure accuracy and completeness, minimizing discrepancies during project execution.
∎ Implement procedures for quality control to ensure that Bill of Quantities (BOQs) are prepared and reviewed in accordance with established practices.
∎ Review contractor and subcontractor BOQs and validate claimed quantities against site execution.
∎ Monitor deviations from the initial BOQ and provide analysis on the cost impact.
∎ Monitor project costs and quantities throughout the construction phase to ensure alignment with the BOQ.
∎ Assist in tracking project progress and manage adjustments to the BOQ as needed.
∎ Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend adjustments to maintain profitability.
∎ Maintain and update a standard cost database for materials and labor.
∎ Prepare BOQ reports and summaries for internal and client presentations.
∎ Participate in project budgeting, cost planning and financial forecasting.
∎ We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Deputy Manager – BOQ (Bill of Quantities) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, managing and verifying BOQs for residential and commercial real estate projects. This role requires extensive technical expertise in quantity surveying, a solid understanding of construction materials and methods and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure cost efficiency, project accuracy and smooth execution.
