Minimum 20 (twenty) years of progressive experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
Experience in Real Estate or Construction companies will be considered as an added advantage.

Sound knowledge of local and international accounting standards, tax laws and corporate regulations.

The organization is looking for a knowledgeable, dynamic and result-oriented professional for its Accounts & Finance Department, who might be endorsed with the responsibility of leading the department. As the Head of Department, the ideal candidate will work closely with the top management to provide financial recommendations and strategy aligned with the organizational objectives. The position will also ensure appropriate financial management and smooth functional activities of the department.
The incumbent must possess strong leadership and thorough analytical insights with professional communication abilities in a proven record of leading complex financial operations, preferably in real estate or construction companies.
Expectedly, the suitable candidate would hold professional affiliation (preferably FCA or FCMA) with ICAB or ICMAB.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Lead in designing and executing financial strategies to support overall business goals and sustainability.
Provide strategic recommendations to the Top Management based on financial analysis, forecasts and risk assessments.
Develop, monitor and implement financial policies, controls and standard operating procedures.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis:
Prepare, monitor, and review periodical budgets and long-term financial plans.
Conduct detail financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue improvement.
Accounting & Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Monitor and improve monthly/quarterly/year-end closing processes and reporting.
Maintain detailed records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flows and reconciliations.
Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:
Liaise with internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities (e.g., NBR, RJSC, VAT authorities).
Ensure full compliance with local laws, tax regulations and corporate governance standards.
Oversee timely and accurate submission of VAT, Tax (AIT, TDS) and other statutory returns.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
Monitor daily cash operations and manage fund flow, bank dealings and treasury functions.
Ensure availability of working capital for smooth business operations.
Negotiate with financial institutions for loans, renewals, LC, bank guarantees and other instruments.
Team Management & Development:
Lead, mentor, and build capacity within the Accounts & Finance team to ensure high performance.
Set KPIs, monitor departmental performance, and promote a culture of transparency and accountability.
Conduct regular training, development and succession planning initiatives.
