Job Context:
∎ Demonstrating the technical and civil engineering expertise to improve the WASH Services for Rohingya Refugees and Host Communities in Cox`s Bazar. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery and management of technical expertise, ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring standard of project activities and its strategic vision for attaining project objectives and goals result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner. S/he will be responsible for leading the WASH and Protection related construction works maintaining close collaboration with respective Project staffs through planning, implementing and managing the delivery of policies, reports, knowledge of services and other results approved in the project document or annual work plans. S/he will also closely work with operations unit at Cox`s Bazar, WASH cluster, relevant government officials, private sector, non-government and civil society organizations.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until December 31, 2020.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for Overall water supply system operation and maintenance in target area.
∎ Responsible for ensuring potable water in target area.
∎ Assist the Project Coordinator in overall planning, budgeting, implementation and monitoring of the project.
∎ Technical supervision and cross-checking of relevant hardware construction materials before installation with specifications, drawing, design quality and quantity.
∎ Conduct pre-feasibility and feasibility of the relevant works.
∎ Responsible for feasibility survey, design, prepare the estimation of quantities and cost detailed drawings and other necessary documents of relevant construction works.
∎ Maintain up-to-date records of all field level activities to show a status of the work, the status of construction materials, equipment at store and construction site.
∎ Perform project management functions; calculate project quantities; prepare project cost estimates, specifications and coordinate activities with other external agencies in the target area.
∎ Attend various internal and external meetings regarding engineering topics or issues and respond to questions and inquiries from various individuals, groups, and organizations regarding engineering issues.
∎ Support the Project Coordinator in preparing monthly progress report(s).
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Working experience with NGO, Development Agency in WASH response.
∎ Working in Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response Program.
∎ Professional work experience in different WASH project implementation, monitoring,operation and reporting.
∎ Experience in the design, construction and supervision of WASH infrastructure.
∎ Proficient knowledge of standard computer software (AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel and project management software)
∎ Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities
∎ Have knowledge on qualitative and quantitative M&E system, large data-based management, monitoring of WASH based programs and socio economic status.
∎ Good communication and networking skills both in Bangla & English
Salary: Tk. 99813 (Monthly)
