Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate calculation, deduction, and deposit of all applicable taxes (AIT, VAT, TDS, etc.) in compliance with government rules and regulations.

  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT and tax returns within statutory deadlines.

  • Supervise and maintain all VAT-related registers and documentation, ensuring full compliance.

  • Verify supplier and vendor invoices to ensure proper VAT and tax deductions before processing payments.

  • Manage VAT at source (VDS) deduction and ensure timely deposit to the government treasury

  • Liaise with NBR, VAT offices, and other regulatory authorities to resolve VAT-related issues.

  • Handle VAT audits, queries, and correspondence with authorities in a timely and professional manner.

  • Conduct cost analysis on import duties, VAT, and other applicable taxes to support management decisions.

  • Assist in VAT planning, compliance, and optimization within the legal framework.

  • Provide management with reports, impact analyses and updates on changes in VAT and customs laws.

  • Guide, train, and support team members on current VAT laws, compliance procedures, and reporting standards.
