Experience:
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional qualifications (CA-CC, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be given preference.
Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in VAT and taxation, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
Sound knowledge of Bangladesh VAT & Supplementary Duty laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Practical experience in VAT return preparation, audit handling, and regulatory correspondence.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Excel Telecom (Pvt.) Limited is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented professional for the position of Manager, VAT in its Factory Division. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with VAT laws and regulations, managing VAT-related operations, maintaining liaison with regulatory authorities, and supporting the organization's manufacturing and business activities through effective tax planning and reporting.
Ensure compliance with all applicable provisions of the VAT & Supplementary Duty Act and related rules.
Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, declarations, and statutory reports within prescribed deadlines.
Monitor VAT accounting, reconciliation, and documentation for factory operations.
Maintain VAT registers, purchase records, sales records, and supporting documents as required by law.
Coordinate VAT audits, inspections, and assessments conducted by relevant authorities.
Liaise with the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and other regulatory bodies regarding VAT matters.
Review VAT implications on procurement, production, inventory movement, sales, and distribution activities.
Ensure proper VAT treatment of imports, local purchases, and manufacturing processes.
Provide guidance to management and relevant departments on VAT compliance and risk management.
Conduct periodic internal reviews to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in implementing and maintaining VAT-related ERP/system processes.
Prepare management reports and presentations on VAT matters and compliance status.
Support external auditors and internal auditors by providing VAT-related information and documentation.
