Responsibilities & Context
A reputed business group is seeking an experienced professional exclusively dedicated to Import & Commercial Operations to lead and manage its end-to-end import activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end import operations, including PI verification, LC opening, shipment follow-up, and customs clearance.
Ensure proper implementation of import policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely customs clearance and avoid demurrage and other unnecessary costs.
Ensure maximum utilization of applicable SRO benefits and import-related incentives.
Monitor timely renewal of all import-related licenses, certificates, and memberships.
Verify all Proforma Invoices (PI), import documents, and related papers before LC issuance.
Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and preservation of official import documents.
Lead and supervise the Commercial Import team.
Ensure compliance with Bond, Customs, and applicable import rules and regulations.
Maintain effective coordination with banks, C&F agents, customs authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
