Job Context:
∎ Reports to : General Manager/Head of Procurement
∎ Function : Supply Chain Management
∎ Location : Grameen Shakti Head Office, Telecom Bhaban, Mirpur-1, Dhaka
∎ Purpose statement: To ensure smooth demand plan, source, and delivery of goods as per GS`s requirement.
∎ Working relationship:
∎ Internal: GM/Head of Procurement, Head of Finance, Head of Sales & Other Department Heads, team Members
∎ External: Financial Institutions, Vendor and suppliers of goods/material, C&F agents, transport company, Customs & VAT authority
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish integrated planning process for ensuring smooth sourcing and delivery of goods/services as per company's requirement
∎ Source existing and new goods/materials/services in a most competitive manner and cost, meeting the required deadline
∎ Prepare Comparative Statement (CS) for obtaining necessary approval in order to acquire goods through competitive sourcing
∎ Ensure supply and delivery of goods, as per the approved quality and specification, maintaining a smooth logistics support service
∎ Deal with purchase of Local and Imported goods as well as clearance of the goods from port
∎ Prepare, issue and maintain the required documents, like Purchase Order, Import L/C, shipping documents, customs related documents, VAT and Tax authorities and so on.
∎ Maintain optimum stock/inventory of goods/required materials in order to meet the monthly demand
∎ Ensure compliance with Purchase Policy, other relevant polices and statutory requirements for all internal and external purchases
∎ Ensure warranty issues/claims and are to be handled in an efficient manner
∎ Manage Vendor enlistment for maintaining an effective pool of vendors
∎ Keep close liaison with the suppliers and users of the goods/services for smooth operation
∎ Develop and maintain effective flow of information as required by the company
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years experience in Renewable Energy supply chain/ distribution/ logistics is preferable
∎ Knowledge : Sound knowledge on Supply Chain/Procurement process
∎ Skills : Computer, Communication, Negotiation, Interpersonal and Analytical skills
∎ Personal Qualities/ Attributes:
