Job Context:
∎ Boomerang Digital is looking for a Manager, Finance & Operations to engage in financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance of the organization. The goal is to enable the company leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company`s objectives.
∎ Work days: Sunday to Thursday (5 Days)
∎ Work Hours: 10:30 am - 06:30 pm
∎ Lunch Break: 01 hour
∎ Office Location: Uttara
∎ Selected candidate will be recruited for a 3 months probation period. Incumbent`s permanent position will be confirmed after the end of the probation period.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
∎ Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
∎ Oversee the operations of the Accounts Department. (Journal entries, timely billing and payment collection, vendor payments etc.) and overall operation of the company.
∎ Lead the Finance & Operations team effectively.
∎ Perform treasury functions and petty cash management with integrity and efficiency.
∎ Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for future investment.
∎ Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
∎ Maintain banking relationships.
∎ Leads planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals.
∎ Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure.
∎ Recommend appropriate dividend issuance, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows.
∎ Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
∎ Manage the preparation of the company's budget.
∎ Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.
∎ Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
∎ Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
∎ Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management.
∎ Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.
∎ Generate monthly profit or loss, cash flow statement & balance sheet
∎ Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
∎ Compile key business metrics and report on them to management.
∎ Develop trends and projections for the organization's finances.
∎ Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software in cloud environment to be used for financial purposes.
∎ Reviewing and analyzing insurance benefits and assisting management to make decisions.
∎ Supervise operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
∎ Ensure proper tax deduction from payrolls, vendor payments and advertising payments on a regular basis.
∎ Ensure monthly VAT return, yearly tax return, monthly TDS Return to NBR in compliance with all statutory requirements.
∎ Maintain proper and close relationships with government agencies such as- RJSC NBR, Bangladesh Bank etc.
∎ Perform company secretarial function & act as the safekeeper of share register, share certificates, board meeting minutes & RJSC documentation.
∎ Well conversant with company MOA, AOA, Schedule X, Schedule XII, organizing AGM and filing of yearly RJSC return.
∎ Ensure realization of export proceeding and remittances within specified time.
∎ Filling of cash incentives against exports and ensure timely realization.
∎ Ensure professional Procurement practices
∎ Ensure smooth office operations by managing all kinds of administrative work.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Work experience in an ITES company is a plus.
∎ ITP is preferrable, strong knowledge in Bangladeshi Taxation (eg. Income Tax Ordinance 1984, VAT Act 2012)is a must.
∎ Experienced in VAT/VDS/TDS
∎ Must be an active student of a professional accountancy body and managed to pass at least 60% of the course.
∎ A minimum of 3 years of working experience in an organization as Asst Manager/Manager in Finance department
∎ Must be conversant with cloud accounting erp solutions e.g. Xero, Quickbook, Zohobook, Odoo, Myob etc.
∎ Excellent written and communication skills.
∎ Advanced/Intermediate level knowledge in MS Excel/Google Sheet and able to construct financial model & tools as seems necessary.
∎ Strategic thinker who possesses solid business acumen and is able to organize and manage multiple priorities.
∎ High numeracy and sound technical skills.
∎ Ability to detect numerical anomalies on reports at a glance.
∎ Must be a people person, proactive & hands-on manager who will take full responsibility for the Finance & Operations Department.
